Yamhill Custom Estate
This 25,000-square-foot estate was constructed using 7,500 pieces of cast stone on the exterior, imported European Stucco and a traditional tile roof. The interior showcases traditional materials such as travertine marble. Custom work abounds in this home, including 25 different pieces of millwork from the floor to ceiling. Most of the larger crown was run in place by a plaster company using different profiles and sizes. The main study is made from Douglas-fir. A groin vault ceiling in the colonnade stretches from the home to the pool, and was made onsite with lath and plaster. The wrought iron handrail was also custom-made. The foyer walls have a beautiful faux-paint finish revealing different layers and depth of the paint.
This home was built while Mike was employed at a different company.
